| 5th winner for freshman sire Dane Shadow 21-Jun-2009 |
|
Dane Shadow made it two winners for the weekend (he had his first stakes-winner at Eagle Farm in Shellscrape) when two year-old gelding Coroner scored as a short priced favourite at the Sunshine Coast at his third race start. Trained by Troy Hall, Coroner was retained to race by his breeders and is from the Hula Chief mare No Finding. Coroner is the fifth winner for Kitchwin Hills based Dane Shadow, who has been very competitive with his more expensive peers in the race to be crowned champion first season sire.
