Phelan Ready (ridden by Jason Holder for trainers Bruce & Jason McLachlan) scored by a neck from previously undefeated favoured filly Paprika (General Nediym-Honi, by Marauding) with a further long neck to fellow filly Motown Lady (Al Maher-Suburban Blues, by Bluebird). Phelan Ready (a $150,000 yearling consigned by Kitchwin Hills at the 2008 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) now has 1 win & 1 placing (in December"s Listed Meynink Stakes over 1000m at Eagle Farm) from 3 starts for $1,156,000 earnings.
