Shadow Assassin goes chasing $1.25m in Stakes money.

Following on from Shadow Assassin"s tough 2nd at Rosehill on Saturday carrying 60.5kg (giving the winner 6.5kg), Shadow Assassin will have his next start in the Magic Millions 3YO stakes over 1200m ($100,000) at Wyong on Sunday 6th December. Then, following in the footsteps of Shellscrape, he looks set to head to Queensland for the Gr3 Vo Rogue Plate over 1350m ($150,000) at Doomben on Boxing Day. All going well, Shadow Assassin will then tackle the 3YO Magic Millions over 1400m on the 9th January where $1m is up for grabs.

Magic Millions Highlights

Pharein/Holy Roman Emperor - This precocious, strong, running type by the speedy first season sire Holy Roman Emperor is out of the Group 1 winning mare Pharein, and will see strong interest. Holy Roman Emperor was a champion 2YO in France and by the look of his offspring, they will follow their father"s early speed footsteps!

Sherborne Abbey/General Nediym - A big, forward, strong individual with bone to match, sees this filly by the ill-fated sire General Nediym is out of the Zabeel mare Sherborne Abbey.  She will be a stand out at the Magic Millions in 2010. General Nediym has been a great source of quality with sound running Aussie horses and this particular filly is a glowing reference for her dad.

Whywashe/Dane Shadow - This quality filly that we see so often with Dane Shadow"s progeny, comes to us from the Opera Prince mare Whywashe, she has a lovely eye and the physique to match. Opera Prince has been a terrific broodmare sire with horses such as Victory Vein (dual Group 1 winning 2YO), Turridu (Dual Group 1 winner), Ateates, Osca Warrior, Dance Beat, etc all out of the Opera Prince mares.

Out of a half-sister to Group 1 winning mare Ike"s Dream (Queen of the Turf Stakes) Zaheerina, by Desert King. Zaheerina was a Citi winning mare of 5 races and over $100,000 in prize money.
