Duporth is an exciting stallion prospect who offers breeders a number of qualities combined into 1 that are almost impossible to find elsewhere.
He is a Group 1 winner, becoming the first 3 year old since Falvelon in 1990 to win the WFA BTC Sprint over Apache Cat. He also won the Golden Rose which is now a Group 1 and widely regarded as a stallions race.
The San Domenico was also Duporth's , this is a race that has historically been won by future stallions such as General Nediym, Charge Forward, Testa Rossa, Our Maizcay all winners of the San Domenico.
Duporth is out of a star in the form of Staging, a group winning daughter of Success Express (a highly sought after broodmare sire).
Staging has produced Group 1 winning Excites and Group 2 winning Tickets. If Tickets converts to a Group 1 then Staging joins Shantha's Choice as the only other active mare in Australia to have produced three Gr1 winners. Staging amazingly has produced 3 runners in the Group 1 2yo Sires Produce Stakes. Excites in 2006 winning, Duporth in 2008 flying home for 5th in only his 2nd start and Tickets running second in 2009.
This has been proven as a two year old family now on 3 occasions at the highest level.Duporth's sire Red Ransom is becoming a sire of sires - Charge Forward, Doomsday, All American,Onemorenomore, Duporth etc.
Most Importantly - DUPORTH IS AN OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL-if he can emulate himself through his offspring, breeders will reap the rewards in the sale ring.Duporth’s size makes him an extremely suitable outcross to Danehill line mares. A factor most commercial outcross stallions have difficulty achieving. Duporth is an imposing strong, forward Stallion, a trait seen throughout his immediate family.
Danehill line mares will be most excited by what Duporth's bloodlines have delivered. It is a proven cross via the Group 1 winning Excites ( Danewin) and the Group 2 winning Tickets ( Redoutes Choice).
Duporth has a unique shareholder structure that will ensure a solid base of quality mares for the first 3 years at stud. Further to this his book will be capped by Kitchwin Hills in order to look after breeders in the sale ring.Hence available nominations are expected be somewhat limited.
